People travelling is exceptionally high risk of bedbugs home.
If you are travelling, it is important to leave your luggage at the door or on a table or rack close to the door while you inspect your room. Never, ever enter your luggage ... anytime ... on a bed. And don't forget to put your luggage on a sofa or armchair until you have inspected the sofa or armchair.
Bedbugs are often in and next to the bed. It is important to check behind knew, throw back sheets and blankets and inspect them and also examine the mattress and box spring. You should run a credit card along the seams of mattress where they love to hide. Check also the offices and tables within 10-15 metres in bed, especially during the drawers. Bedbugs are also in the remotes, watches, behind the paintings and generally somewhere near the bed.
If you find any signs of bedbugs ... including stool, the bugs themselves, or they has shed its skin ... immediately ask for a different place from the room you are inspecting.
You should have a special guardian for your suitcase and specially designed box liners protect your clothes from the bedbugs.
When you are preparing to return home, put all your laundry in the washing bags dissolvable. When you arrive, place the bags and your clothing directly on stone in the hottest water as possible and then dry. Of course, if your clothes are marked for dry clean only, then you take the laundry bags as soon as possible to the dry cleaner.
Bed bugs die in extreme cold and extreme heat so that objects which cannot be washed in the stone can be placed in the deep freeze for up to 4 weeks. This should kill bed bugs and their eggs. The freezer is excellent for books, passport, paper, etc., that you don't need to for some time.
There are steamers available for your luggage and other items that may be less suitable for deep freezing or washer and dryer. Steam cleaning can be you bedbugs and bacteria.
